Baqai Medical University, in collaboration with the Pakistan Network of Quality Assurance in Higher Education, has announced that Karachi will host the 6th International Conference and Annual General Meeting from April 13 to 15, 2026.

The announcement was made during a press briefing by senior university leadership alongside Syeda Asiyah Bukhari, highlighting the significance of the event for Pakistan’s higher education sector.
The conference will bring together key stakeholders, including officials from the Higher Education Commission, vice chancellors, and quality assurance experts from across the country, underlining the growing focus on enhancing academic standards.
Held under the theme “Catalyzing Global Citizenship: The Strategic Role of Quality Assurance in Internationalizing Higher Education,” the event will feature participation from international experts representing countries such as Norway, the United Kingdom, Türkiye, Italy, Bahrain, and the United States.
Prominent global speakers include Stig Arne Skjerven, Cato Rolea, and Ramazan Baydur. National experts such as Sohail Naqvi and S M Tariq Rafi will also contribute to the discussions.
The three-day event will begin with pre-conference workshops, followed by keynote sessions, panel discussions, and research presentations focusing on digital transformation, global employability, and institutional leadership.
Participants will also receive specialized training in AI-driven quality assurance, policy development, and ethical digital practices. Additional activities, including a cultural evening and networking dinner, aim to promote international collaboration.
The conference is expected to play a pivotal role in aligning Pakistan’s higher education standards with global benchmarks while strengthening academic partnerships worldwide.
