Karachi: During the holy month of Ramadan, inDrive Pakistan launched a special initiative to distribute ration packages among its driver community in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad. As part of this activity, the ride-hailing platform partnered with well-known social media influencers who booked rides through the app and then surprised randomly selected drivers with Ramadan ration packages and appreciation gifts.
Sharing his thoughts about the initiative, Awais Saeed, Country Manager of inDrive Pakistan, said “Behind all our activities as a platform, the real driving force is our drivers. This Ramadan, we wanted to appreciate their hard work in a way that would truly benefit them and their families. The element of surprise was important for us because it allows drivers, during their regular work, to suddenly feel that their efforts are being recognized and valued. Our drivers spend long hours on the road and often work under busy and challenging conditions. Acknowledging their dedication and appreciating them in a meaningful way is very important to us.”
inDrive currently operates in 1,065 cities across 48 countries and is moving toward becoming a super app by introducing additional local urban services. The company has completed more than 7 billion transactions worldwide, and its app has been downloaded over 390 million times, making it the second most downloaded ride-hailing app in the world.
