ECP Officers Visit Sindh Chief Secretary’s Office for Study Tour
A delegation of 42 officers under training with the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) visited the office of the Chief Secretary Sindh as part of a study tour aimed at enhancing their understanding of the provincial administrative system.

KARACHI: A delegation of 42 trainee officers of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) visited the office of the Chief Secretary Sindh as part of their study tour.
The delegation was led by Nighat Siddiq, Director General (Gender and Social Inclusion/Training). Provincial Election Commissioner Sindh Ijaz Anwar Chohan was also present during the visit.
Briefing on Sindh’s Administrative System
Chief Secretary Sindh Syed Asif Haider Shah met the trainee officers and briefed them on the administrative structure of Sindh and the functioning of the provincial government.
He provided an overview of the responsibilities and role of district administrations, as well as the management of administrative affairs at the provincial, divisional and district levels.

The officers were also briefed on coordination mechanisms between various provincial departments and the implementation of government policies and decisions at the district level.
Importance of Practical Training
Addressing the trainee officers, Provincial Election Commissioner Sindh Ijaz Anwar Chohan highlighted the importance of understanding the functions of government institutions and administrative systems as part of professional training.
He said study visits help officers understand the practical aspects of administrative affairs and gain firsthand knowledge of institutional operations.
Chohan also stressed the importance of effective coordination among different government institutions for efficient administration.
Officers Raise Questions
During the session, the trainee officers asked questions about various administrative matters. The Chief Secretary Sindh and relevant officials responded to their queries and provided further clarification.
At the conclusion of the visit, Nighat Siddiq presented an honorary shield to Chief Secretary Sindh Syed Asif Haider Shah in recognition of his participation and briefing during the study tour.
