ISLAMABAD – Desecration of Holy Quran in Norway, Pakistan Foreign Office summons Norwegian Ambassador.
Foreign Office spokesperson Dr. Mohammad Faisal stated that the Norwegian Ambassador has been summoned to the Pakistan Foreign Office to convey the deep concern of the government.
He reiterated that Pakistan has strongly denounced the reported desecration of the Holy Quran and such kind of acts hurt the sentiments of 1.3 billion Muslims around the world, including those in Pakistan.
Pakistan has urged the Norwegian authorities to bring those responsible to justice and to prevent the recurrence of any such incident in the future, he added.
The Ambassador of Pakistan in Oslo also instructed to convey a strong protest of Pakistan and deep concern to the Norwegian authorities.
