Karachi: A hanged body of a Chinese national has been recovered from the K-Electric Company Compound at Port Qasim. According to the initial medical report, the doctor conducted an autopsy of the body expressed suspicion over claims of death by suicide.
According to private TV channels reports, police said, they found the body of the Chinese man hanging with a rope inside a container house where he was living. The body of a 53-year-old Chinese national, identified as Li Wenzhang. The body declares his death a suicide and said that they were investigating the matter from every angle. The Chinese national was working on a private power supply company for almost 5 years, added said police. Police said the deceased used to live in a container house provided by the company.
Police have taken statements from Colleagues employees working with the Chinese national. Fellow employees said that he was worried about not going to his home because of coronavirus pandemic. Police said that He had returned to work from China after seeing his family six months ago. The body has been shifted to Jinnah Hospital for autopsy.
On the statement of Dr. Samia Syed, Additional Police Surgeon, Jinnah Postgraduate Medical College, while confirming after the initial post-mortem, said that the port authorities were adamant not to conduct the post-mortem. The cause of death has been preserved.
