Manchester é A court in England and Wales has sentenced a woman who evaded police and stole thousands of pounds worth of perfume and banned her from entering all John Lewis stores. According to a BBC report, a woman who is addicted to stealing perfume from shops has been eluding the police for a year, but she has been banned from John Lewis stores. The report states that Agita Sika, 27, was first arrested in August 2024, when staff spotted her trying to quietly leave a perfume chain store in Cheadle, Manchester, with designer perfume. The woman was told that she was due to appear at Stockport Magistrates Court two months later over the incident but fled. It was further stated that she had repeatedly disguised herself to protect herself before surrendering to Northumbria Police in November 2025. Agatha Sica admitted four offences at Newcastle Magistrates’ Court, including stealing goods worth more than £2,400 over a three-month period. The court sentenced him to criminal conduct, which is a one-year ban from entering stores. Manchester Police said that Agita Sika’s crime did not meet the requirements of the occasion, but was a deliberate, systematic and continuous crime.Police said that shoplifting is not a crime that can be committed without harming anyone. Manchester Police added that this crime causes significant financial losses to the shopkeeper, affects the shop staff and leads to increased prices for honest buyers.
