Ishtiaq Baig President Business Forum PML-N welcomes PM’s Export Incentives

Karachi, 31 st January 2026 : Ishtiaq Baig, President of the Business Forum PML-N, welcomed Prime Minister’s announcement of major relief measures for exporters and the industrial sector, describing them as a timely and positive step to enhance Pakistan’s export competitiveness and promote industrial growth.
The Forum expressed appreciation for the reduction of the Export Refinance Scheme (ERS) rate from 7.5% to 4.5%, as well as the PKR 4 per kWh reduction in industrial electricity tariffs and the PKR 4.04 per unit cut in
wheeling charges.
These measures are expected to support export growth, improve exporters’ debt-servicing capacity, and contribute to more stable and sustainable industrial activity across the country.
