The US President Joe Biden and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin will discuss the Ukraine issue today.
Talking to media, a White House official said that Vladimir Putin requested the telephone call between the leaders to take place on Monday, but Joe Biden wanted to conduct it sooner.
Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken has also said that he will speak to his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov today.
Talking to reporters in Fiji, he said that the US is prepared for either diplomacy or “aggression” from Moscow over the crisis in Ukraine.
Meanwhile, the United States has announced to send more troops to Poland due to the tense situation in Ukraine.
In a tweet, Polish Defence Minister Mariusz Blaszczak said the U.S. administration will send additional 3,000 troops to Poland.
