POWERUS Delegation Meets Asim Munir at GHQ to Discuss Defence Technology
Field Marshal Asim Munir meets a POWERUS delegation at GHQ in Rawalpindi.
A delegation from US-based defence and critical infrastructure company POWERUS met Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi on Wednesday.
The delegation was led by Robert Bret Velicovich. Field Marshal Asim Munir serves as Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting covered matters of mutual interest and emerging trends in defence technology. The two sides also discussed possible cooperation in defence procurement, production and capacity building.
Focus on Defence Technology
The discussions focused on the growing role of technology in defence and national resilience.
Asim Munir highlighted the importance of technological innovation and advanced solutions. He said such capabilities can contribute to strengthening national security and resilience, according to ISPR.

Meanwhile, both sides expressed interest in developing further engagement in areas of mutual interest.
Potential Areas of Cooperation
The meeting also explored possible avenues for cooperation in defence procurement and production.
Capacity building formed another part of the discussions. However, ISPR did not disclose specific projects, contracts or procurement decisions arising from the meeting.
The engagement reflects continued contact between Pakistan and US-based companies working in defence and critical infrastructure, with technology remaining a key area of discussion.
