A delegation of the Local Government Reporters Association met Sindh Governor Nihal Hashmi at Governor House.
The delegation discussed issues affecting local government reporters. They also discussed journalists’ welfare and professional concerns.
The delegation was led by President Suleman Saadat Khan. General Secretary Muhammad Ali Hafeez was also part of the delegation.
Vice President Afzal Parvez and Joint Secretary Fareed Alam attended the meeting. Treasurer Rashid Siddiq was also present.
Governing Body members Sahil Rab Khan, Talha Makhdoom, Hafeez Ansari, Bashir Abbas and Shoaib Mukhtar also attended.
Governor Assures Cooperation
Governor Nihal Hashmi assured the delegation of his full cooperation. He said efforts would be made to help address the issues faced by journalists.

The governor also appreciated the role of local government reporters. He praised their efforts to highlight civic problems and issues affecting citizens.
The delegation discussed the importance of supporting journalists who cover local government affairs. Professional welfare and working conditions were also highlighted.
Dr Saif-ur-Rehman and Faisal Farooqui were also present during the meeting.
The meeting concluded with an assurance of continued cooperation between the Governor House and the journalists’ community.
