Kharadar General Hospital Hosts Nursing Research Seminar to Promote Medical Innovation

Kharadar General Hospital hosted its annual nursing research seminar, bringing together healthcare professionals, researchers, educators and civic leaders to promote innovation in nursing education and medical research.
Speaking during his visit, Murtaza Wahab said that selfless service is the foundation of humanity’s well-being. He praised institutions and philanthropists committed to education, training, research and public service, describing them as valuable national assets.

The mayor commended Kharadar General Hospital for providing quality healthcare services for more than a century, calling it a vital institution for the people of Karachi. During his visit, he toured various hospital departments, attended the research seminar organised by the MBJ School of Nursing, listened to research presentations and distributed certificates of appreciation to outstanding students and faculty members.
Hospital President Muhammad Bashir Janmohammad said that sincere intentions, selfless service, dedication and continuous hard work are essential for building successful institutions. He noted that the hospital’s long-standing contribution to medical care, education and research reflects the commitment of its administrative, medical and support staff. He added that thousands of nurses and doctors trained at the hospital are now serving patients across Pakistan and overseas.
Director of the School of Nursing Talat Parveen Shah stressed the need to strengthen Pakistan’s nursing profession through greater government support and institutional cooperation. She said expanding the nursing workforce would significantly improve healthcare services and patient outcomes.
Tazeen Saeed Ali highlighted the growing importance of nursing research, saying modern healthcare challenges require evidence-based practice and advanced technical skills.
Meanwhile, Imad Fahim emphasised that quality research depends on meeting established scientific standards. He said research should contribute to improving healthcare policies and clinical quality while praising the efforts of young researchers participating in the seminar.
Hospital Chief Executive Officer Khalid Iqbal briefed participants on the hospital’s healthcare services and ongoing development initiatives. Principal Muhammad Shahid also addressed the gathering, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to excellence in nursing education and research.
The seminar concluded with a renewed commitment to advancing nursing education, promoting medical research and strengthening healthcare services for communities across Pakistan.
