Karachi DHA Accident Kills Woman, Injures Husband and Son

KARACHI: A Karachi DHA accident killed a 38-year-old woman and seriously injured her husband and 10-year-old son on Sunday.

The crash occurred near Bank Al Habib on Khayaban-e-Zulfiqar in DHA Phase 8, according to police.

The family was travelling on a motorcycle when a speeding car struck them.

Woman Dies in DHA Crash

Police and rescue teams reached the scene soon after receiving information about the accident.

The injured family members and the woman’s body were taken to Jinnah Hospital.

Doctors identified the deceased as 38-year-old Miraj Bibi, wife of Umair.

Her husband, 40-year-old Umair Ghulam Qadir, was also injured in the crash.

Their 10-year-old son was identified as Muhammad Aun Umair.

Both the father and son sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment.

Police said they arrested the driver allegedly responsible for the accident.

The vehicle was also taken into police custody.

According to Head Muharrir Irfan, the arrested suspect identified himself as Zain.

Police are continuing their investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Authorities said a case was being registered over the incident.

Police will investigate the speed of the vehicle and other circumstances that led to the fatal collision.

Meanwhile, the injured father and son remain under medical care.

The incident has once again highlighted concerns over road safety and speeding in Karachi, particularly on major roads and residential areas.
