Sadequain Stamp was unveiled in Islamabad as the Pakistan National Council of the Arts> (PNCA) and Pakistan Post launched the world’s longest commemorative postage stamp to honour the legendary artist, calligrapher and poet Sadequain on his 96th birth anniversary.
The launch ceremony took place at the National Art Gallery on 30 June 2026. Government officials, artists, philatelists, cultural figures and media representatives attended the event.
The commemorative stamp celebrates Sadequain’s remarkable contributions to visual arts, calligraphy, literature and Pakistan’s cultural heritage. Organisers described the initiative as a landmark achievement in the country’s philatelic history and a tribute to one of Pakistan’s most influential artists.

Alongside the commemorative stamp, Pakistan Post released a First Day Cover (FDC), a Philatelic Leaflet, and special commemorative cancellation marks to mark the occasion.
Speakers at the ceremony stressed the importance of preserving and promoting Pakistan’s cultural heritage through philately. They said such initiatives help introduce future generations to the country’s artistic legacy while recognising the achievements of iconic national figures.
The event highlighted Sadequain’s lasting influence on Pakistan’s artistic and literary landscape and reaffirmed the country’s commitment to celebrating its cultural heritage through innovative national initiatives.
