Karachi, April 16, 2026: Baqai Medical University successfully hosted the 6th International Conference and AGM of Pakistan Network of Quality Assurance in Higher Education (PNQAHE) in Karachi, bringing together leading academics, policymakers, and global experts.
Held under the theme “Catalyzing Global Citizenship: The Strategic Role of Quality Assurance in Internationalizing Higher Education,” the three-day conference focused on institutional reform, digital transformation, and global academic integration.
The event featured workshops on AI-driven quality assurance, micro-credentials, and international recognition frameworks. A key highlight was the launch of the PNQAHE Micro-Credential in Quality Assurance to strengthen professional capacity in the sector.
Senior officials, including the Chairman of Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan, participated in the inaugural session. Panel discussions emphasized shifting from compliance-based systems to trust-centered quality assurance.
The conference concluded with a closing ceremony attended by vice chancellors and education leaders, reaffirming Pakistan’s growing role in global higher education quality standards
