The incident occurred on Sweihan Street in Abu Dhabi and also involved an Indian national, resulting in two deaths, three injuries, and damage to several vehicles. Injured individuals included citizens of the UAE, Jordan, and India, with injuries ranging from moderate to serious.

The Abu Dhabi Media Office urged the public to rely only on official sources and avoid spreading unverified information.

The Pakistan Embassy in the UAE expressed grief over the loss, stating on X that it stands with the bereaved family and is coordinating with local authorities to provide support and facilitate repatriation of the deceased.

This latest casualty follows several previous deaths of Pakistanis linked to missile interception debris amid the ongoing US-Israel war on Iran:

  • March 17: Pakistani national killed in Abu Dhabi due to falling debris.
  • March 8: Pakistani driver killed in Dubai’s Al Barsha area when debris from an aerial interception fell onto his vehicle.
  • February 28: Mureed Zaman, a Pakistani national, killed in Abu Dhabi on the day US and Israeli strikes on Iran began.
  • March 8: Gwadar fisherman killed in Iranian waters after Israeli projectile debris, intercepted by Iranian air defence, struck his boat.

The series of incidents underscores the risks posed to civilians in the Gulf region amid ongoing regional hostilities.
