USA : National Cheesesteak Day was celebrated at an airport in the United States by breaking a Guinness World Record. Philadelphia International Airport set a new Guinness World Record by forming a long line for cheesesteaks on the occasion of National Cheesesteak Day. On Tuesday, the PHL Food & Shops airport restaurant, in collaboration with the City of Philadelphia Department of Aviation, formed a line of 1,291 cheesesteaks between Terminals B and C. The sandwiches were made with 102 kilograms of cheese sauce and 449 kilograms of shaved beef and a roll 1,291 feet long. Guinness World Records officials were on hand to confirm that the line of sandwiches was long enough to set the record.
