Karachi: A delegation of RK Sports Management, led by Chairman Atif Iqbal, Vice Chairperson Irum Fawad, President Rais Khan, and Executive Member Sher Bano Syed, visited the Sri Lankan Consulate and held a meeting with Sri Lankan Consul General Sanjeeva Pattiwila.
The delegation congratulated the Consul General on Sri Lanka’s successful hosting and excellent arrangements during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. Speaking on the occasion, Consul General Sanjeeva Pattiwila said that both Pakistan and Sri Lanka are currently demonstrating outstanding performances in various sports. He noted that Sri Lanka ensured excellent arrangements during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, and a large number of spectators from Pakistan visited Sri Lanka during the tournament and appreciated the hospitality extended to them.


Chairman Atif Iqbal briefed the Consul General on the activities and initiatives of RK Sports Management. He stated that the organization is committed to promoting sports by identifying and nurturing talent at the grassroots level. He further expressed interest in organizing sports events in collaboration with Sri Lanka and expressed hope for mutual cooperation in this regard.

President Rais Khan stated that Pakistan and Sri Lanka share strong relations, and there are significant opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in the fields of sports and culture.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Consul General cut a cake along with the delegation. On behalf of RK Sports Management, Atif Iqbal presented a traditional Ajrak as a gift to the Consul General as a gesture of goodwill and cultural exchange.
