Karachi: In an extraordinary display of faith, generosity, and collective resolve, NIBD Welfare Society hosted a landmark Ramadan Fundraiser at Tabani House, DHA Phase 6, Karachi, raising a phenomenal PKR 29 million on the spot, accompanied by strong commitments and promises for even greater support in the days ahead.
Hosted by Mr. Humza Tabani under the inspiring banner “Rehmat Ka Mahina, Umeed Ka Paigham”, the evening brought together an eminent gathering of philanthropists, business leaders, and community stalwarts determined to fund 20 life-saving bone marrow transplants for underprivileged patients battling blood cancers, thalassemia, aplastic anemia, and other critical blood disorders.

The distinguished Hosting Committee reflected the strength and credibility behind the cause. Among those lending their leadership and presence were Yasmin Dadabhoy, Saeed Allawala, Shamim Firpo, Aizaz Ul Haq Siddiqui, Fahad Ilyas Nainitalwala, Bilal Chotani, Syed Hussain Sajjad, Omer Bin Zahid, Adnan Abrar, Dr. Umer Shamsi, Razzaq Pardesi, Ather Khan, Naveed Bilwani, Moneeza Butt, Mian Idrees Hussain, Tanzeem Taj, and Usama Shamsi. Their collective commitment underscored the urgency and magnitude of the mission.
Bone marrow transplantation remains one of the most complex and costly curative treatments available. For countless families, it is financially out of reach. For NIBD Welfare Society, it is a responsibility. Each transplant represents more than a medical procedure. It represents a future restored, a mother’s prayer answered, a child given a second chance at life.

As the scale of need was presented and the impact laid bare, generosity surged across the room. Pledges were made with conviction and urgency, culminating in PKR 29 million raised live during the event. The momentum extended beyond the immediate commitments, with several prominent guests making strong assurances of additional support in the coming days, signalling that this historic total is only the beginning.
Since 2009, NIBD Welfare Society has remained steadfast in its mission to ensure that financial hardship never stands between a patient and a cure. This Ramadan Fundraiser has now set a bold and inspiring benchmark for compassionate giving in Pakistan.
