LADIESFUND Bhook Mitao Spreads Christmas Cheer with Almost 200 Food Rations for Christian Community
In the true spirit of giving and community support, LADIESFUND, an initiative of Dawood Global Foundation, held a special event under its Bhook Mitao program to distribute almost 200 food rations to the Christian community in celebration of Christmas. The event, which took place at The Buraq Center by LADIESFUND, was graced by esteemed MPA Matiari, Makhdoom Fakhar Zaman, Actress, Rubya Chaudhry and several distinguished LADIESFUND Bhook Mitao Embassadors and Patrons.

The food rations were carefully sourced and distributed to provide relief and joy to underprivileged families during the holiday season. The initiative adhered to Islamic principles, ensuring that the rations were funded exclusively from Sadqah contributions, keeping Zakat strictly reserved for Muslim beneficiaries in alignment with religious guidelines, which were given out earlier in the day to zakat qualifying and zakat accepting people.

Tara Uzra Dawood, President of LADIESFUND, shared her thoughts on the occasion:
“At LADIESFUND, our mission is to bridge communities and provide meaningful support to those in need. Through Bhook Mitao, we strive to ensure no family goes hungry, while respecting and honoring the diverse traditions and beliefs of the people we serve. With the help of so many, we have distributed 36,500 food rations to date, and humbly request the help of all those reading to scale this.”
Makhdoom Fakhar Zaman “At Christmas, we come together in humanity. LADIESFUND BhookMitao spreads hope, compassion, and food to those who need it most I’m really grateful to be a part of this Food Ration Distribution.”

Rubya Chaudhry “LADIESFUND takes a remarkable initiative every year to provide food rations to both Muslims and minorities who are truly in need, with strict checks and balances in place. Sadqah and Zakaat are carefully managed and distributed separately, ensuring transparency and trust. I am truly grateful to be a part of this initiative this year, and I encourage everyone to join hands with LADIESFUND Bhook Mitao Food Ration Distribution by donating and supporting the impactful work they continue to do for vulnerable communities.”
Sheema Kermani added, “I’ve been collaborating with LADIESFUND and the Dawood Global Foundation to provide rations and help to the underprivileged, especially those who have faced the floods and to those women who have suffered”.

Anwaar Sheikh thanked LADIESFUND for its many years of supporting the least remembered communities.
Others spotted at the event included Farida Azaad, Hira Haroon Karim, Naveed Farooqi, Mahnaz Habib, Mehr Ali, Pervaiz Gill and Sheikh Sultan Rehman.

The event also included a heartwarming gathering where attendees shared festive greetings, reinforcing the message of togetherness and goodwill. Sarfraz Dennis Naseer had arranged a beautiful Christmas tree.
LADIESFUND remains committed to its mission of empowering communities and addressing hunger, one family at a time. Through Bhook Mitao, they continue to set a benchmark for socially conscious initiatives that celebrate diversity and respect cultural and religious values.
