Islamabad Pakistan : Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has appointed Lt Gen (Retd) Hassan Azhar Hayat as the Managing Director of the Pakistan Land Port Authority, according to a notification issued by the Cabinet Secretariat’s Establishment Division.Pakistan has become the third country in South Asia, after India and Bangladesh, to establish a dedicated land port authority aimed at improving cross-border trade, transport, and inter-agency coordination at land ports.
