The 3.5 km long Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard is a testament to downtown, urban culture and features cafes, high-end retail and hotels. Building on Dubai’s emerging role as the cultural hub of the region, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai announced the launch of The Opera District in Downtown Dubai, to stimulate the city’s cultural and artistic scene. In addition to Dubai Opera, the country’s first dedicated Opera House, and several new galleries that will be built within the precinct, The Opera District will host two new ‘art hotels,’ an array of leisure components, several residential apartments and a design studio.
