Jamshoro (August 1, 2025): A vibrant two-week long celebrations marking Pakistan’s Independence
Day along with success of Bunyan-Ul-Marsoos & Marka-e-Haq, officially kicked off at Shaheed
Allah Buksh Soomro (SABS) University of Art, Design & Heritages, Jamshoro on Friday.


The festivities were formally inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Arabella Bhutto, who
praised the university’s commitment to cultural, national, and social expression through the art.
On the opening day, a 16-feet-long painting was created by the students of SABS University in
collaboration with children from Save Our Soul (SOS) Village, Jamshoro. The powerful artwork
paid heartfelt tribute to Pakistan’s martyrs and national heroes, celebrating their sacrifices and
legacy.

Dr. Arabella Bhutto expressed pride in the students’ artistic tribute and emphasized the importance
of remembering the sacrifices that led to the country's independence. “These celebrations are not
only about joy and festivity; they are about reflecting on our identity, our values, sacrifices of our
armed forces and our history,” she said.

The two-week celebration includes a range of activities such as art exhibitions, student
performances, cultural shows, seminars, and community engagement projects, all aimed at
highlighting national unity and honoring Pakistan's cultural richness and historical resilience.
