Karachi: The Sindh Tourism Development Corporation (STDC) hosted a vibrant Special Mango Feast at Dar Ul Sukun auditorium. The event, supported by the Pakistan Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management (PITHM), honored the institution’s special children and senior citizens, affectionately known as The Golden Agers.
The auditorium was transformed into a mango paradise, adorned with yellow and green balloons and a stunning backdrop.
The highlight of the evening was the captivating live performance by Sindhi folk musician M. Hassan, who mesmerized the audience with his exceptional Surando skills. The music was so enchanting that the special residents and Golden Agers couldn’t resist dancing on stage.
Chief Guest Secretary Culture, Tourism, Antiquities & Archives, Government of Sindh, Mr. Khair Muhammad, was warmly welcomed with a bouquet by Uncle Jaffer, a respected Golden Ager resident. The Secretary was deeply touched by this gesture.
Also present were MD STDC Mr. Feyaz Ali Shah, his team, distinguished guests from the media and hotel industry, and Dar Ul Sukun management and staff. PITHM chefs prepared an array of mouth-watering mango delicacies, which were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.
Dar Ul Sukun residents Miss Anila Pervaiz and Mr. Arnish sang a medley of songs, receiving a huge applause. Speaking on the occasion, MD STDC emphasized that tourism is for everyone, and STDC will support Dar Ul Sukun in arranging outings for its residents.
CEO Golden Key Hotels & Management, Mr. Azeem Qureshi, expressed his support for the special children and seniors, highlighting his past collaborations with Dar Ul Sukun. The Secretary offered a trip on the Thar Desert Train Safari for Dar Ul Sukun residents and invited them to showcase their talent at future events.
CEO Dar Ul Sukun, Mr. Savio Pereira, delivered the closing remarks, thanking the Government of Sindh, Culture & Tourism department, STDC, and Mr. Azeem Qureshi for their support. Shields were presented to Mr. Khair Muhammad and Mr. Feyaz Ali Shah.
The event concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony, marking a memorable and joyful celebration for Dar Ul Sukun residents.
