Karachi : Young Doctors Association (YDA) JPMC staged a black ribbon protest to condemn the biased recruitment practices at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC). The protest, attended by numerous doctors from various wards, aimed to show solidarity with senior faculty members who have been overlooked for promotions despite their merit and dedication.
YDA JPMC strongly denounces the irregularities and favoritism in appointments and recruitment of consultants which are allegedly being carried out under the direct direction of Vice Chancellor JSMU, Dr. Amjad Siraj Memon.
The YDA strongly condemns the actions of Dr. Amjad Siraj, Vice Chancellor JSMU whose decisions have led to the mistreatment and undue pressures on senior faculty. These unjust actions not only affect faculty members but also impact the quality of medical education and patient care at JPMC.
Dr. Muhammad Ali, Spokesperson YDA JPMC, and Dr. Shehryar Shaikh, senior Cabinet Member YDA JPMC, Dr Abdul Salam, Dr Mukhtyar, Dr Naik along with other senior doctors, participated in the protest, emphasizing the need for a fair and transparent recruitment process. 
We urge the Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto zardari , Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho Health Minister and Chief secretary and Health secretary Sindh and to immediately intervene and address this grave injustice. The YDA remains committed to safeguarding the rights of doctors and ensuring that the integrity of the medical profession is upheld.
The Young Doctor’s Association JPMC is coordinating with consultants and senior faculty members to plan further action regarding this issue.
