Karachi – The 14th Fire Safety Awards 2024, organized by the National Forum for Environment and Health (NFEH) in collaboration with the Fire Protection Industry of Pakistan (FPIP), honored 45 leading organizations for their outstanding commitment to fire safety. Held in Karachi, the prestigious event was graced by Chief Guest Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Minister for P&D and Energy, Government of Sindh.
The awards recognized companies that have demonstrated exemplary adherence to fire safety protocols, serving as role models in safeguarding lives and assets. Speaking at the ceremony, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah applauded the winners for their efforts. “Fire safety is not just a regulatory obligation but a moral responsibility that protects lives, properties, and industries. The Sindh government remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote safety and resilience in urban areas,” he said.
He also called upon industries and businesses to lead the way in adopting global fire safety standards. “I urge all stakeholders to proactively implement fire safety measures and collaborate with government agencies to create safer environments for everyone,” Shah added.
President of NFEH, M. Naeem Qureshi, highlighted the importance of public-private collaboration in improving fire safety. “These awards celebrate organizations that have set benchmarks in fire safety practices. Their commitment inspires others to prioritize safety and invest in advanced fire protection measures. Together, we can create a fire-resilient Pakistan,” Qureshi stated.
