Pakistan: Pir Zaheer ul Hasan Shah, a senior Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) leader, was arrested in Okara for threatening Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa. Zaheer ul Hasan Shah faces charges under the Anti-Terrorism Act for inciting violence and religious hatred during a protest. He and 1,500 TLP workers are implicated in spreading anti-judiciary sentiments.
Additional cases involve other TLP leaders, with accusations of issuing death threats to the Chief Justice. Defense Minister Khawaja Asif condemned the threats and affirmed that the state will not tolerate such actions. Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal also supported the judiciary, stressing the importance of upholding the rule of law.
