Pakistan: The Ambassador at Large for Global Peace, Human Rights & Interfaith Harmony Imam Allama Muhammad Ahsan Siddiqui Chairman, Interfaith Commission for Peace & Harmony (ICPH), strong condemnation and denunciation of the burning of a copy of the Holy Qur’an by an extremist at Stockholm Central Mosque in Sweden following Eid al-Adha prayer. He said that the Noble Quran will remain a sublime scripture that guides humanity and steers it to the values of goodness, truth, and beauty. So, its sanctity will not be compromised by the grudges of lowly people, nor the misconduct of those who fan intolerance, grudges, hatred, and perversion.

He underlined that such irresponsible behavior and actions, which lead to provoking and inflaming the feelings of Muslims worldwide in these blessed days, should be tackled and addressed by all legal and ethical means with the cooperation of all, to renounce extremism and religious fanaticism.
The Interfaith Commission for Peace & Harmony (ICPH) had affirmed its categorical rejection of such criminal acts that express abhorrent hatred and unacceptable racism, indicating that the repetition of these heinous crimes against Islamic religious sanctities represents a flagrant provocation to the feelings of Muslims around the world, and promotes discourses of extremism, fanaticism, and hatred.
The Ambassador at Large for Global Peace, Human Rights stressed the need for immediate intervention by the Swedish authorities to put an end to such actions that project hatred and extremism, holding the Swedish authorities accountable for all reactions resulting from these heinous and inciting acts that contradict the principles of tolerance and freedom of religion.
