KARACHI — The 5th Women Dignity Award 2026, organized by the Consumers Association of Pakistan, was held on March 28 at the Ramada Creek Hotel, honoring the remarkable contributions of women across the country.

The ceremony was attended by Provincial Minister for Women Development Shaheena Sheer Ali as Chief Guest, with Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Abdullah Murad and Chairman Cable Operators Association Khalid Arain joining as Guests of Honor.
In her address, Minister Sheer Ali emphasized that women are the backbone of a progressive society, highlighting the Government of Sindh’s commitment to women’s empowerment, rights protection, and equal opportunities. She applauded the initiative, noting that such platforms encourage recognition of women’s achievements.
Industrialist and social leader Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig praised Pakistani women for excelling in every sector and stressed that their economic empowerment is vital for sustainable national development.
The event, hosted by anchor Agha Sherazi, recognized women excelling in leadership, social services, education, health, media, business, arts, and other fields. Key awards included:
- Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah Madar-e-Millat Women Leadership Award
- Begum Rana Liaquat Ali Khan Women Service Award
- Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Women Excellence Award
Speakers, including MPA Syed Shariq Jamal, DIG Shoukat Ali, and Asif Moosa, highlighted the importance of women’s rights, equality, and active participation in national development.
Chairman Kaukab Iqbal and Acting Chairperson Women Wing Marium Hina concluded that the Women Dignity Awards continue to inspire and honor women, motivating future generations to contribute actively to Pakistan’s growth.
