Karachi – The National Forum for Environment & Health (NFEH), in collaboration with the Fire Protection Industry of Pakistan (FPIP), is set to host the 13th Fire Safety & Security Convention on November 2, 2023. The event aims to raise awareness about fire safety and security and recognize companies for their outstanding contributions in this field.
The convention will be graced by the presence of distinguished guests, with Sindh Minister for Local Government, Mubeen Jumani, and Industries & Revenue Minister, Yunus Dagha, serving as the chief guests for the occasion.
Engr. Nadeem Ashraf, the project head of the event, shared the primary objectives of the convention with the media. The event’s core mission is to promote fire safety and security awareness among various stakeholders, including industries, the corporate sector, builders, owners of commercial buildings, NGOs, and fire safety and security professionals.
One of the highlights of the convention will be the presentation of awards to 50 deserving companies. These awards are being presented based on a stringent evaluation criterion developed by professionals. The objective of the Fire Safety Awards is to acknowledge companies that have shown exceptional dedication to fire safety, investing in training, promoting awareness, and utilizing modern technology to prevent fire accidents and save lives during such incidents.
Prominent experts and professionals from various industries will address the convention, including Dr. Imran Taj, President of the Fire Protection Industry of Pakistan (FPIP), Muhammad Naeem Qureshi, President of the National Forum for Environment & Health (NFEH) and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Ms. Zulekha Soorma, HSE Lead Auditor, Mr. Saeed Jadoon, Fire Expert, Mr. Naeem Yusuf, Disaster Management Expert, Mr. Anas Hammad, HSE Head at EBM, Mr. Zulfiqar Ali, Quality and Facility Management and Fire Expert, and Mr. Salman Rasheed, Fire Safety Expert at Hub Power Company, among others.
The 13th Fire Safety & Security Convention promises to be a significant event in Karachi, fostering a culture of safety and security while honoring those who have made significant contributions to these critical fields.
