BRAZIL : A woman in Brazil who was declared dead by doctors suddenly came back to life, leaving people stunned. In the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo, a woman named Fernanda Cristina Policarpo not only survived a traffic accident but is now receiving treatment in a hospital. A woman was hit by a car on the motorway, causing her to fall onto the road and faint. Paramedics from the Samoa Ambulance Service arrived at the scene and, after initial examination, pronounced him dead. After the woman was declared dead, the body was covered with a silver foil blanket so that it could be sent to the morgue. When the mother received the news of her daughter’s death, she was deeply shocked. What could be more painful for a mother than losing her young daughter, but fate had other plans. Shortly after the accident, another paramedic arrived, his job was to help move the body from one place to another, but when he got close to Fernanda and examined her, he found that she was still breathing despite her severe injuries. Without wasting a moment, he immediately began trying to keep him alive. Fernanda was immediately admitted to the ICU of a nearby hospital where he was placed on life support. On the evening of January 20, the hospital issued a bulletin stating that Fernanda’s health had improved so much that her breathing tube could be removed in the coming days. The neurosurgery team has slowly begun to reduce his sedatives in an attempt to revive him. Doctors say Fernanda’s condition is now stable and they are investigating whether she can breathe without a ventilator. While the incident has given Fernanda’s family new hope, it has also exposed the serious negligence of the medical system.
