Trade Map Workshop was organised by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) in collaboration with the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) to strengthen the export capabilities of women entrepreneurs through data-driven market analysis.

The interactive training session on “Market Analysis Tools: Trade Map” took place at LCCI, Lahore, under TDAP’s Women Entrepreneur Division.

The event opened with remarks from Ms. Firdous Nisar, Executive Committee Member of LCCI, who emphasised the importance of market analysis training in helping women entrepreneurs make informed business decisions, identify international opportunities and expand their export potential.

Ms. Mahina Ghalib, Deputy Director of TDAP, led the training session and provided practical guidance on the use of Harmonized System (HS) Codes. She also demonstrated how businesses can extract, analyse and interpret trade data to support export planning and decision-making.

Participants received hands-on training on the International Trade Centre’s Trade Map platform and learned how to assess global demand, explore potential export markets, monitor trade trends and evaluate competitive landscapes.

The workshop also focused on methods for comparing international markets, identifying promising export destinations and analysing product-specific import patterns to support business growth.

Through live demonstrations and guided exercises, participants applied Trade Map tools to real-world business scenarios relevant to their products and sectors. Trainers addressed individual questions during the session, helping attendees better understand how market intelligence can strengthen export strategies.

TDAP distributed supporting manuals and digital learning materials to encourage participants to continue using the Trade Map platform after the workshop.

A total of 60 participants representing various sectors attended the event and actively engaged in discussions, practical exercises and knowledge-sharing activities throughout the training programme.
