KUALA LUMPUR : The First World Hotel & Plaza may not be the most impressive hotel in the world in terms of its quality or design, but no hotel in the world can compare to it in terms of the number of rooms. When this Malaysian hotel opened in 2006, it had only 6,118 rooms and two years later it lost the title of ‘world’s largest hotel’ to the ‘Venetian Hotel’ in Las Vegas (7,128 rooms). However, after the construction of the second tower, the number of rooms in this hotel increased to 7,351 in 2015 and it regained its title, and the same resort has held this record ever since. Located in the Penang region, 50 kilometers north of the Malaysian capital, this hotel has 3,164 standard, 2,922 luxury, 649 luxury triple, 480 superior luxury and 136 World Club rooms.
