Hyderabad: Hyderabad Softball Association Chairman Aslam Khan Deswali, Secretary Mohammad Iqbal Qureshi, and Women Wing Secretary Anila Mehwish met with Patron of the Association and Director Physical Education Government Girls Degree College Kotri Aisha Irum. They proposed to hold a reception in honor of Pervez Ahmed Sheikh, the Director of Game Development Hyderabad Softball Association and well-known sports organizer who is trying to promote various sports including baseball and softball across Sindh.
Secretary of Softball Federation of Pakistan Asif Azim who is working hard for the promotion of softball throughout Pakistan, Secretary of Sindh Softball Association Muhammad Zeeshan Merchant, Senior Vice President of Pakistan Federation Baseball Muhammad Mohsin Khan, Secretary Sindh Olympic Association Ahmed Ali Rajput and others will be invited. On this occasion, Secretary Muhammad Iqbal Qureshi paid tribute to the President of the Association Prof. Umm Kulsoom Abbasi for her continuous leadership.
In this regard, she said in her message that 24 years ago Parvaiz Shaikh started women’s cricket, baseball and softball sports in Girls College and School Kotri under my patronage and our players won the first Inter-Regional Softball Championship Hyderabad. 2006, and selected for National Women’s Softball Championship Lahore 2006, 30th National Games 2007 Karachi and National Women’s Softball Championship Gujranula and this series is still going on due to the efforts of Pervez Shaikh and his wife Aisha Irum, Director of Physical Education of our college, and we hope that both of them will continue to cooperate with Sindh Softball Association and Federation including Hyderabad and Jamshoro Softball Association. In this regard, the meeting of Hyderabad Softball Association will be held at Office Bin Kashif Latifabad on August 28.
