Showbiz Desk: Pakistani leading actress and singer Sanam Saeed has said about working in Bollywood that many of our desires have died over the years.
Sanam Saeed expressed her desire to work in Bollywood films after the change in the political situation between Pakistan and India.
Recently, the Indian entertainment TV channel announced that the hit Pakistani drama serial “Zindagi Gulzar Hai” will be returned to the channel after it was taken off air.
Other Pakistani shows including “Kitni girhain Baaki Hain, Aunn Zara, and Sadqay Tumhare” will also be aired on the channel for Indian viewers.
After the revival of the Indian TV channel, Sanam Saeed was asked in an interview about her interest in working in Bollywood.
Sanam Saeed said, “When the political situation changed, a lot of things that were to work out did not. Over the years, the desire died for a lot of us.”
The actress added that Bollywood is one of the biggest industries in the world and she has a lot of favorite directors.
“I have always wanted to work in Bollywood and Broadway, but after the change of political conditions, it all came to an end,” she said.
Sanam Saeed also said that I am grateful for the OTT platforms as they have helped us to develop professionally.
Talking about the return of Zindagi Gulzar Hai on Indian TV screens, Sanam said, “I am thankful that the drama made a decade ago is still going hit.”
She added that the show had a lovely Jane Austen vibe of a strong, independent woman and it was made with the eyes of women, I am still associated with the character.
