Breast Cancer is one of the leading causes of death in women globally, impacting 40,000 deaths in Pakistan annually. As October nears, countless campaigns commence to bring to light the disease impacting 1 out of 9 Pakistani Women. To highlight the significance of early detection, and to advocate for the importance of self-care, The Crafter’s Guild and Smile Sunshine hosted The Pink Affair. The event was hosted in honor of the women belonging to the local craft community under social responsibility efforts.
The Crafter’s Guildand Smile Sunshine hosts The Pink Affair. The afternoon commenced with remarks and understanding from Dr. Saira Bano on alternative medicine and impact of early detection, followed by an interactive session by Dr. Zubaida Qazi, president of Pink Pakistan.
The session engaged and encouraged questions by women in audience regarding early detection, myths regarding breast cancer, and what triggers growth or potential cancer risks.
The discussion was a sign of concern from individuals who now find it important to take time out and address their health.
