Terrorism PM Shehbaz Vows to Eliminate Every Terrorist in Pakistan

Terrorism remains Pakistan’s top security challenge, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Thursday as he pledged to continue the fight against militant groups until the “last terrorist” is eliminated.
PM Reaffirms Counterterrorism Commitment
Speaking at the Provincial Apex Committee meeting on the National Action Plan (NAP) in Quetta, the prime minister said Pakistan had faced several major terrorist incidents over the past four days. However, he praised the security forces for responding swiftly to the attacks.
According to Shehbaz Sharif, security forces killed 54 militants during operations conducted across Balochistan. He added that the operations reflected the country’s determination to defeat terrorism.
Tribute to Security Forces
The prime minister paid tribute to police officers, Pakistan Army personnel and civilians who lost their lives in recent attacks. Furthermore, he said their sacrifices would not be forgotten.
He also said Pakistan’s political and military leadership remained fully united in the campaign against terrorism. According to the prime minister, the entire nation stands firmly behind its armed forces.
Allegations Over Cross-Border Militancy
Shehbaz Sharif claimed that militant groups were operating from Afghan territory to launch attacks inside Pakistan. Moreover, he alleged that Pakistan’s eastern neighbour was providing weapons and financial support to terrorist organisations.
In addition, the prime minister said external elements were involved in terrorist activities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He stressed that Pakistan would continue taking all necessary measures to protect its national security.
Senior Leadership Attends Meeting
The high-level meeting brought together Pakistan’s top civilian and military leadership. Among those present were Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti and senior law enforcement officials.
Meanwhile, Federal Ministers Ahad Khan Cheema and Attaullah Tarar, along with Prime Minister’s Adviser Rana Sanaullah, also attended the session.
Overall, the meeting focused on strengthening the implementation of the National Action Plan and reinforcing coordination between federal and provincial authorities to combat terrorism across the country.
