The KEMA type test, conducted in the Netherlands, is widely regarded as the global benchmark for testing medium- and high-voltage electrical equipment. As a result, the certification confirms that Pakistan Cables’ 35kV MV cables meet internationally recognised standards for safety, reliability and performance.

Moreover, this is the first time a Pakistan-made cable of this voltage class has successfully passed the rigorous KEMA testing process. The achievement also reinforces the company’s status as Pakistan’s largest exporter of wires and cables.

Pakistan Cables has maintained a strong reputation for quality for decades. In fact, the company became Pakistan’s first wire and cable manufacturer to receive KEMA certification in 1984. Now, the latest certification for 35kV cables extends that legacy of innovation and technical excellence.

Chief Executive Officer Fahd K. Chinoy described the certification as a significant achievement for both the company and the country.
