Quetta: In the history of country, first-ever woman Judge, Justice Syeda Tahira Safdar sworn in as Chief Justice Balochistan High Court in Quetta this morning.
Governor Balochistan, Muhammad Khan Achakzai administered oath to her in a ceremony held at Governor House.
The ceremony was attended by the outgoing Chief Justice Balochistan High Court Muhammad Noor Miskanzai, Judges of Balochistan High Court, high ranking officials, lawyers and elites of the city.
Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Jam Kamal Khan has greeted the newly appointed Chief Justice Balochistan High Court Madam Justice Syeda Tahira Safdar .
In a message today, Jam Kamal said the appointment of Madam Tahira as first women Chief Justice of the High Court has added a new chapter to the history of judiciary at national level and it is also a matter of great jubilation and prestige to Balochistan province.
The Chief Minister also expressed best wishes for her professional successes.
