Chetan Kumar told the police in his initial statement that he married a second time because his first wife could not become a mother, but there was a discrepancy between his statement and the ages of his children. According to the police, Chetan Kumar changed his statements several times because he wanted to hide his third marriage. Police said that Chetan Kumar lives in a 3-room flat in Ghaziabad with his 3 wives and 5 children. He has a daughter and a mentally disabled son from his first wife. According to the police, Chetan Kumar married for the first time in 2010 and then, to fulfill his desire for more children, he married his first wife’s sister for the second time in 2013, with whom he had two daughters. He married for the third time in 2023. Police have said that the reason given by Chetan Kumar for his second marriage contradicts the age of his eldest daughter. According to the police, Chetan Kumar’s three daughters committed suicide by jumping from the 9th floor of the building, and another strange revelation during the investigation was that despite having 3 rooms in the flat, everyone slept in the same room. Police have said that Chetan Kumar maintained his stance regarding the suicide of his daughters, saying that they had become addicted to playing Korean games, which is why he had taken away their mobile phones. According to the police, Chetan Kumar, who is a stockbroker, is currently in debt of Rs 2 crore. Due to financial problems, he not only sold his daughters’ mobile phones to pay the electricity bill, but also did not send his daughters to school since the Corona outbreak. According to Indian media reports, due to Chetan Kumar’s repeated changes in statements, the police are conducting further investigations to determine the real cause of his daughters’ deaths.
