Showbiz Desk: World-renowned Hollywood actress, filmmaker and Special Envoy for UN Refugees Angelina Jolie said the children of the ongoing war in Ukraine will pay the highest price.
The Maleficent star Angelina Jolie shared photos of war-affected Ukrainian children on Instagram, saying that along with millions of people displaced across Ukraine’s borders, nearly 2 million people have become internally displaced.
“Many people are trapped in the war, access to aid is not possible, and they are directly physical danger,” Special Envoy said.
Further Hollywood actress said “Without an end to the war children will pay the highest price – in trauma, lost childhoods and shattered lives.”
In Special Envoy Insta stories, the filmmaker said, “3 million refugees have fled Ukraine in 15 days. It’s the fastest-growing displacement crisis in Europe since World War 2 and a measure of the conflict’s brutality.”
According to the news agency, at least 3 explosions were heard in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine this morning. Two people were injured and two residential buildings were damaged in the blasts in Kyiv. Kharkiv’s emergency services said in a statement that at least 500 Kharkiv civilians had been killed so far in the Russian attack.
