Karachi: Sindh Inspector General of Police Javed Alam Odho, speaking in a bold and unequivocal tone, stated that despite claims of a decline in crime, he is not satisfied with the situation. He emphasized that until every citizen of the city is able to live without fear, the responsibility of the Sindh Police does not end. He warned that indiscriminate and decisive action against criminal elements will be further intensified.
The Sindh IG expressed these views while addressing a welfare event organized by the Defence Residents Social Welfare Association (DRSWA). Dinner was hosted by Director Sahil Welfare Association Dr. Danish Aman, and Senior Vice President KATI Zahid Hameed. IG, described DRSWA as a shining example of social service, stating that the organization is promoting hope and self-reliance in society by providing food, education, skills training, and employment opportunities to deserving individuals with dignity.
During the event, several pledges were made in support of DRSWA’s welfare projects, with announcements to further expand the reach of these facilities to deserving people in Orangi Town, Lyari, and other underprivileged areas. DIG Shoukat Khetran, DIG Faizullah Korejo, and other distinguished personalities were also present on the occasion.
