Karachi; PTI Member of Sindh Assembly Shahzad Qureshi expressed his condolence over the gas cylinder explosion in Defence Housing Authority (DHA), Khayaban-e-Jami. We feel sorrow for the people who were killed and injured in the gas cylinder explosion, PTI MPA Shahzad Qureshi.
Shahzad Qureshi said better facilities should be provided to the injured. The cylinders in all the restaurants in the city are time bombs.

Shahzad Qureshi appealed to the concerned institutions, especially Defence Housing Authority (DHA), are requested to take action against those who use these illegal cylinders.
There are no safety measures to check cylinders in hotels and restaurants. This is proof of the Sindh government’s incompetence, Shahzad Qureshi added.
There have been casualties due to gas cylinder explosions in the city before, but the fire and safety department has been silent to deal with them, Shahzad Qureshi said.
Further, he said that gas cylinders should be checked in several hotels and restaurants in Defence and Clifton so that such a sad incident does not happen again.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) South, the cylinder blast took place in Khayaban-e-Jami, DHA claiming life of one person. Several motorcycles and four-wheelers were also damaged in the blast.
