Saudi Arabia has started taking practical steps to implement its Vision 2030 aimed at ensuring arrival of about thirty million Umrah pilgrims annually.
Saudi deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah Abdul Fattah Mashshat said fifteen million pilgrims are expected to perform Umrah by 2022 while the number will rise to about thirty million by 2030.
He said th procedure for arrival of pilgrims has been made extremely easy and the processing of passports of pilgrims will now take only a few minutes.
Meanwhile, the Saudi ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced that Umrah season for 2018-2019 has been advanced by thirty days to begin in Muharram instead of Safar.
