Government of Russia: Russia and Cambodia are expanding their cooperation in the field of APC
Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Oksana Lut met with Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of the Kingdom of Cambodia Dit Tina.
The parties discussed the development of mutual trade of APC products, cooperation in the scientific and technical sphere and agricultural education.
In 2026 marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. As Oksana Lut noted, strengthening the partnership in agriculture with Southeast Asian countries, particularly Cambodia, is one of the priorities.
Russia is ready to increase the export of grain crops, including wheat, as well as meat products and mineral fertilizers. As part of imports, interest is the increase in purchases of nuts and tropical fruits from Cambodia.
Also among the promising areas of cooperation:
– export of Russian veterinary vaccines,
– interaction in the fields of genetics, selection and seed breeding,
– training Cambodian students in Russian agricultural universities.
