The Rotary Club of Karachi Avenue held a grand community oath-taking ceremony in which President Sheikh Imtiaz Hussain, Senior Vice President Junaid ur Rehman, Vice President Shazia Matin, Afshin Abid, Sadaf Faryal Shah, Zulfiqar Ali Shah, Anjum Ghafoor and Mehboob Mazari In addition, all the district officials and other prominent personalities of the city also participated in the implementation of the SOPs.
Speaking on the occasion Rotary International District 3271 District Governor Prof. Dr. Farhan Essa Abdullah, said that the Rotary Club of Karachi Avenue was strives to solving public problems. He said that Rotary has solved other important issues besides education, health, employment, clean drinking water and other important issues in the country. Rotary clubs Avenue are also in the forefront of eradicating Polio in the country. While recent days of coronavirus, the Rotary club has distributed masks, gloves and sanitizers among the thousands of people including doctors, paramedical staff, businessmen and also provided free surgical beds and protective clothing in quarantine centers and hospitals.
Rotary International District 3271 District Governor Prof. Dr. Farhan Essa Abdullah while appreciating the services of all members of Rotary Club of Karachi Avenue. He said that millions of Rotarians affiliated with Rotary International are serving the suffering humanity and spending millions of dollars on Charity work. This is the world’s oldest charitable organizations dedicated to service and serving 190 countries around the world.
Rotary International District 3271 District Governor Prof. Dr. Farhan Essa Abdullah said that the Rotary and Rotaract boys and girls affiliated to the Rotary Club also make and complete all kinds of welfare projects at their own expense, which inspires the new generation to serve humanity.
Speaking on the occasion, Sheikh Imtiaz Hussain, President, Rotary Club Karachi Avenue, said that millions of children given polio drops to vaccinate against polio by Rotary this year. He said that all the efforts are being made to eradicate polio from all over the world. Only three countries including Pakistan, India and Afghanistan where polio cases has been report. Sheikh Imtiaz Hussain said that in this way Rotary International is installing RO plants for clean drinking water in rural and remote areas of the country and where there is severe shortage of water, wells and tube wells. The electricity is being generated through solar so that the people there have access to clean drinking water and water for farming. He said that in this way they will also get employment opportunities and a better quality of life.
