LAHORE – Starting January 2025, the Traffic Police in Punjab will implement new annual fees for driving licenses across the province. To legally drive any vehicle, it is mandatory to obtain a valid driving license from the traffic department. Failure to do so may result in fines.
The traffic department will issue regular driving licenses to individuals who successfully complete both practical and road sign tests within a specified time frame. The aim is to ensure road safety and reduce accidents. Applicants are required to submit a fee along with certain documents to obtain the license.
Required Documents for Regular Driving License:
- Copy of CNIC
- 3 Passport-sized photographs
- Medical certificate (from an authorized medical practitioner)
- Medical Fitness Certificate (for candidates aged 50 or above)
- Application form (A)
- Original learner permit (valid for at least 42 days)
- Relevant ticket pasted on the document
New Fees:
- Motorcycle License: Rs. 930 annually, plus Rs. 50 Test Fee
- Rickshaw License: Rs. 880 annually, plus Rs. 100 Test Fee
- Car License: Rs. 1,830 annually, plus Rs. 150 Test Fee
