The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), in collaboration with the provincial excise and taxation department, has initiated the registration process for the January 2025 e-auction of premium vehicle registration numbers.
PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf hailed the e-auction platform as a revolutionary step, emphasizing its ability to enhance transparency, reduce corruption, and eliminate the role of agent mafias in the registration process.
Interested individuals can register for the e-auction through the dedicated e-Auction App or web portal until January 30, 2025. The platform facilitates bidding for both motorcycle and car registration plates, with results and details of successful bidders available via the app.
Officials noted that this system offers convenience and ensures transparency, enabling participants to bid for personalized number plates from the comfort of their homes.
