PSL 7: Naseem five wickets, Gladiators beat Kings’ by eight wickets

KARACHI – Quetta Gladiators’ have recorded their first win in this year’s Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022 after outclassing Karachi Kings’ by eight wickets with Ahsan Ali scoring a 57 not-out and Naseem Shah taking five wickets in what was a completely one-sided game at National Stadium in Karachi. 

While chasing 114 Gladiators were given an impressive 76-run opening stand between Will Smeed who scored 30 and Ashan. 

Imad Wasim was economical with the ball as he conceded 18 runs in four overs as Quetta chased the small target with ease as Kings’ have lost their second successive game this season.

Quetta Gladiators have rolled out the Karachi Kings’ batting line-up for a paltry 113-run total in 17.3 overs courtesy of pacer Naseem Shah’s sensational figures of 5-20 in 3.3 overs in the fourth match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022 at the National Stadium in Karachi.

After being invited to bat first by Sarfaraz, Kings’ remained under the pump from the beginning as the Gladiators were on the money both with the bowl as well as in the field. 

Babar remained the top scorer with 32 runs, otherwise, it was a sorry tale for Kings’. While Aamir Yamin scored 20, Imad Wasim scored 26 to remain notable scorers.

Gladiators skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed elected to bowl first after winning the toss in the fourth match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022 against Karachi Kings at the National Stadium in Karachi, as both will be looking to win their first game of the season having lost the opening encounters.
