LAHORE – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that the PSL 10 Player Draft will now take place on January 13 at Huzoori Bagh in Lahore. The venue has been changed from Gwadar due to unexpected logistical issues. However, Gwadar will feature prominently in the PSL 2025 Trophy Tour scheduled for March.
The draft event is set to begin at 12:30 PM, where the six PSL franchises will finalize their star-studded squads at one of Lahore’s iconic heritage sites.
The milestone 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League is scheduled to run from April 8 to May 19, 2025.
The draft has attracted celebrated international cricketers, with several big names placed in the Platinum and Diamond categories. Australia’s David Warner, Matthew Short, and Sean Abbott, New Zealand’s Mark Chapman, and Bangladesh’s Mustafizur Rahman lead the Platinum category. Other notable players include Shakib Al Hasan, Chris Lynn, Tim Southee, Kusal Mendis, Daryl Mitchell, and Mujeeb ur Rehman.
In total, 40 foreign players, including Usman Khawaja, Jason Roy, Zak Crawley, Michael Bracewell, and Alex Hales, are part of the Platinum category, though only six players will be selected. Players not chosen in Platinum will move to Diamond and Gold categories, which feature 87 foreign players, including Australia’s Alex Carey in the Diamond category.
