President KCCI asks FBR to defer SRO 350.

KARACHI: President Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) Iftkhar Ahmed Sheikh has asked theFederal Board of Revenue (FBR) to defer implementatin of SRO 350 as the business community’s reservatinsover the controversial SRO stand unaddressed. In this regard, he mentined that a meetig was scheduled to beorganized at the Karachi Chamber on Tuesday, 23 rd April 2024 with Member (Inland Revenue Operatins)Badshah Khan Wazir and Chief IR Operatin Arshad Nawaz Cheema to thoroughly discuss the repercussions ofSRO 350 but unfortunately, this meetig was postponed due to public holiday on the occasion of visit ofPresident of Islamic Republic of Iran Ibrahim Raisi to Karachi, hence, the SRO 350 should be deferred unti thispressing issue is amicably resolved in consultatin with all the stakeholders.
